About Us

  Our names are Ray and Rory Schwan, and we would like to introduce you to Priority Optical. Priority Optical was founded in 2013 after decades of experience in the optical business (starting in 1971!). From humble beginnings as an optical tech, Ray progressed to manager of three multi-million-dollar optical lab companies, and also served as Field Repair Technician for Gerber Optical. In 2013, he combined this comprehensive experience in production, repair, and management to start his own company, Priority Optical. Now, Ray’s son, Rory, is coming onboard as co-owner to continue this legacy with Ray continuing to lead.

 Built from the ground up, this family run business is dedicated to customer service, with a focus on providing fast, affordable services with impeccable quality and accuracy. Need a custom high refraction lens that a traditional digital lab is incapable of?  We got it.  Need same say services to select portion of Michigan?  We can do that too!
